How you make a difference

The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a strategic partner to ensure alignment between the organization's goals and the needs of its employees and management. They deliver valuable services that help to create a motivated and engaged workforce by providing guidance on various HR issues such as employee relations, policy interpretation, compliance, compensation, and benefits. The HR Business Partner plays a critical role in onboarding and development, contributing to the success and growth of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Counsel and advise employees and managers, provide interpretation and administration of policies, procedures, and programs, and recommend changes to improve practices.
• Conduct thorough investigations in response to employee relations issues and provide effective advice and counseling to front line managers.
• Identify training needs and partner with management to provide solutions, working closely to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention, and ensure alignment with company culture.

• Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and performance improvement.
• Establish differentiated requirements within each organizational position to articulate responsibilities, skills, and experiences, and ensure consistent application of compensation practices throughout the employee lifecycle.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education

  • BA/BS in Business, Human Resources, or a related field

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in human resources management/partner role
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, HRIS applications and Internet applications
  • Corrections and/or Healthcare industry experience is a plus

Licenses/Certifications

  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred

Additional Details

**Candidates should reside in the Southeast. This position requires approximately 30% travel throughout the region***
