About this role

As the Assistant Facility Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the overall administration of the facility. This will include overseeing and managing subordinate staff, as well as handling various duties such as budget planning and resource allocation. You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the facility and contribute to maintaining a positive work environment. 

What you bring to the table

Education  

  • Master’s degree in psychology, rehabilitation, social work, human services, and or hospital administration. 

 

Experience  

  • 5+ years of executive-level management experience in a psychiatric or medical facility, with a proven track record of motivating and directing diverse workforces. 
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to read, interpret, and communicate medical, financial, and legal information to a wide range of stakeholders. 
  • Ability to handle customer inquiries and complaints, as well as act as a competent liaison between the facility and the community. 
  • Proficiency in using computers and related software, and the ability to handle routine tasks while maintaining an orderly workflow. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including empathetic listening and the ability to express thoughts logically in both written and verbal form. Must be able to pass background checks and maintain clearance for Public Trust Positions when working with specific patients. 

What you will do

  • Directs daily patient care and treatment operations at the facility, overseeing associated departments and ensuring compliance with company rules and regulations. 
  • Develops and expands patient programs and services to promote health and welfare, while assisting with budget planning and accounting. 
  • Manages hiring and training of personnel in areas of responsibility, and supervises and directs staff members. 
  • Coordinates activities of medical, nursing, and administrative staff and services, while developing policies and procedures for various hospital activities. 
  • Represents the establishment internally and externally at the direction of the Hospital Administrator, while negotiating improvements and additions to the facility's building, tools, and equipment.
