About this role

Director of Achieving Clinical Excellence (ACE) oversees the ACE Team. The ACE team is charged with leading the company’s new business transition activities and providing critical assessments of existing contracts when requested by operational leaders. The ACE Director ensures the highest quality clinical care is delivered to the patients entrusted to our care by providing temporary, permanent and/or on-going support for our client sites. The ACE Director ensures we meet or exceed our commitments to all stakeholders: our employees, our clients, board members and each other. This includes oversight and management of a team that includes multiple Site Service Managers as well as a team dedicated to supporting site level quality initiatives. The ACE team will support all Divisions by providing staff and expertise, as well as new site start-ups and transitions. The ACE Director is expected to collaborate and lead effectively across multiple departments and foster positive relationships and partnerships as part of the core function and culture of the ACE team.

What you bring to the table


  • RN required, BSN
  • Masters in Nursing, Masters in Nursing Education, or a Masters in Healthcare Administration preferred.


  • 5 years of Site Administrative experience, or equivalent, preferred.
  • 3 years or more in Corrections operations management or Corrections health experience


  • Certified Correctional Health Professional (CCHP) Certification preferred.

What you will do

  • By partnering with Field Operations and Division leadership, ensure new client facilities transition to the company in a consistent, predictable and cost-effective manner.
  • Report on key performance indicators, statistics, facility developments, and important developments during the transition process
  • Monitor adherence to contract, P&Ps, the company, and appropriate state and county rules and regulations during the transition process
  • Ensure compliance with contract reporting requirements and establish baselines during the transition process.
  • Work with team members concerning staffing needs for new client sites
  • Travel to new client sites, start up’s, transitions, and other initiatives
  • Monitors the implementation and effectiveness of procedures and programs during the transition process.
  • Participate in business development to include marketing, proposal writing and oral presentations to explain new client transition process
  • Collaborates effectively with Division and site leadership as needed — maintaining contract obligations, leading ACE managers, establishing priorities, and anticipating potential strategic or operational issues
  • Project a positive, supportive, and empathetic attitude in all interactions with employees.
  • Implement, manage and monitor the Contract Implementation Process for all new client transitions.
  • Collaborate with Central Operations, IT, HR, TA, and others in building and executing against a standard, comprehensive site start-up playbook
  • Identify and provide training needs for administrative staff when requested by RVP-Operations
  • When requested by RVP-Ops measure the effectiveness of all internal and external processes.
  • Evaluate and recommend methods of improving administrative efficiency and cost effectiveness.
  • Proficient in the company’s policies, procedures, and current workflows.
  • Collaborates with other departments in development of clinical excellence, policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Champion the company’s practices by utilizing the 5 Ps and 5 Hs to support the creation of a compliant and self-sufficient site.
  • Communicates regularly with ACE Team Members on the status of department operations and goals.
  • Evaluates department needs and problems and makes recommendations for improvements.
  • Communicate how operational data impacts department profit and loss.
