About this role

Our Senior Recruiter of Physicians and Providers is responsible for recruiting, interviewing, and referring applicants for the Behavioral Health area including Clinical Director/Therapists, Psychiatrists, Psychologists and other management positions.  Seeking recruiters with a solid experience in recruitment of upper level healthcare professionals and have an interest in working for a company that makes a difference every day in patient care.

What you bring to the table


  • College degree in Human Resources, business, sales, or closely related field preferred


  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in full-service recruitment required
  • Previous healthcare recruiting experience required, physician and psychiatrist experience preferred
  • Previous experience in recruiting for corrections a plus
  • Previous agency recruitment experience a plus
  • Prior development of strategic recruiting plans to implement the sourcing of challenging to find specialties, a plus

What you will do

  1. Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies. Assist in establishing best practice recruitment efforts and adjust recruitment strategy as needed.
  2. Collaborate and guide other physician recruiters for The Company to strategize to meet critical needs.
  3. Build relationships with the site leaders to understand their needs and work through the recruiting process of reviews, interviews, and hiring decisions.
  4. Using all resources available, source candidates to meet client needs.
  5. Conduct telephone and personal interviews with candidates for employment.
  6. Work with sites to manage and update applicant database/tracking system (ATS) to maintain records, reports and logs pertaining to applicant flow, interviews conducted and staffing.
  7. Conduct employment verifications, reference checks and assist with coordinating background investigations when needed.
  8. Verify licensures and credentials for nurses and other healthcare providers.
  9. Place advertising, verify advertising invoices, and track advertisement costs.
  10. Work with Locums and Temporary Agencies to meet client needs, as directed by Regional Managers/VPs and HSAs.
  11. Execute recruitment efforts for new contract implementations and on-boarding of new hires.
  12. Contact assigned colleges and various other groups regarding employment opportunities. Coordinate and attend recruiting events such as job fairs and company recruitment presentations. Coordinate internship opportunities with school partners.
  13. Provide information and answer all questions from potential applicants regarding positions for which they are interested, including but not limited to pay rate, work hours, physical requirements and detailed information on all duties they would perform in that position. Inform applicant of various company policies and benefits.
  14. Track and analyze success of recruitment efforts, recruiting costs, time to hire, etc.
  15. Maintain Position Control and Recruitment Reports and ensure information is accurate and proper staffing needs are met for each site.
  16. Create offer letters and ensure necessary paperwork for new-hires is completed and forwarded to appropriate departments.
  17. Must be able to apply principles of critical thinking to a variety of practical and emergent situations and accurately follow standardized procedures that may call for deviations.
  18. Must be able to apply sound judgment beyond a specific set of instructions and apply knowledge to different factual situations.
  19. Must be alert at all times; pay close attention to details.
  20. Must be able to work under stress on a regular or continuous basis.
  21. Perform other duties as assigned.
